With season seven on the horizon, 's community guy Postums has now revealed some of the social matchmaking changes that are on the way via Halo Waypoint. In the game's match composer - Firefight is being added as a new option. It's currently in the final stages of testing and crossplay is enabled.

The mixed matching of social games has been a great way to keep the population together without forcing people in to games they just don't want to play. It seemed a bit archaic that FF had set playlists like older titles. I like the look of these changes, being able to just keep matchmaking going and have a mixture of Reach and ODST Firefight will be a nice change of pace.
If the Reach Firefight bugs are fixed along with this change, the PvE challenges will be much less of a grind. I'm not much into Halo only finished the first game on then again as part of the MCC.
